MANILA, Philippines - Major Philippine carriers have cancelled several international flights to the Middle East as escalating tensions linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran continue to disrupt global aviation routes.
Both Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific suspended or cancelled services to key Middle Eastern hubs after airspace restrictions and security risks intensified in the region.
According to aviation advisories and airport authorities, the cancellations were implemented to ensure passenger and crew safety amid evolving security conditions in Middle Eastern airspace.
The disruptions have particularly affected routes connecting Manila with Dubai, Doha, and Riyadh, three of the most important destinations for Filipino workers and travelers in the region.
